One of the most common questions we receive from climbers planning an 8,000-meter expedition is:
"The Department of Immigration Nepal now offers a paperless, online system for restricted area trekking permits, making it easier, faster, and safer for foreign trekkers in Nepal’s 13 restricted districts."
The Api Himal Trek explores one of Nepal’s most remote regions, offering untouched landscapes, traditional villages, high alpine passes, and dramatic Himalayan views. Ideal for trekkers seeking true wilderness and authentic culture
This achievement marks another proud milestone for Alpinist Club Nepal, showcasing our commitment to safe, ethical, and expertly guided Himalayan expeditions. Congratulations to all climbers, Sherpa guides, and the entire team for this inspiring success on one of the world’s most beautiful 8,000-meter peaks.

recently completed the Manaslu Circuit trek with Ranbir Gurung as my private guide and I had the best experience.Ranbir is from Laprak, a village not far from the start of the Manaslu trek. He knew every village, mountain and route like the back of his hand and took me on a custom itinerary that went to smaller spots most people miss. On two nights I was the only tourist in the village. He is such a fun, positive, energetic and warm guy and was clearly loved and respected by all other guides, trekkers and locals we met along the way.Countless times on the trek, other trekkers would comment to me ‘Wow, your guide is fantastic, I’m so jealous, where did you find him?’. Or they would be impressed by my knowledge of the local culture, the names of plants, animals and mountain peaks in the area, my ability to eat with my hand and speak Nepali to the locals and I would tell them - ‘Oh, Ranbir taught me’.I was slightly apprehensive starting this trek having never been at high altitude before, even though I have hiked a lot. Ranbir is trained to keep his clients alive at 8000m+ on mountains such as Manaslu and Everest and has seen it all. I didn’t meet a single other guide with Ranbir’s training or experience on the 2 week trek and I knew I was in the safest hands. He is excellent at reading people and knew when to walk in silence and when to chat, when to give me space or when to pull me out of my tea house room in to the kitchen for a dance party and a glass of Raski with the locals. He knows every mountain and trek in the entire country intimately and gave me tips on other treks and activities to do during my time in Nepal. If you book Ranbir you’ll learn stuff, get home safe and most importantly have heaps of fun. 10/10. He also took great photos of me!
Very good Tourguide. Nice experience and I had a great time. Definitely commendable.Thank you so much 🙏🥰
Subash and the Alpinist Club team are amazing. I came to Nepal for a 3 weeks mountaineering training. They built a program that answers exactly my needs of technical training while remains super flexible to adjust for my learning curve. They also tailored the training to include a beautiful trekking with super services.I would recommend Alpinist club to all my friends who plan to climb the 8000 or just want to discover the beautiful nature of Nepal
An unforgettable experience with an incredibly supportive and professional team. They took great care of the Diviners group throughout the Lang Tang journey with warmth, safety, and genuine dedication. Every detail was thoughtfully organized, and the guides created such a positive and caring atmosphere during the trek.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful and well-supported mountain adventure.
Highly recommend! We were hiking the EBC Trek via Kala Patthar and everything was perfect! We always felt safe and had the best guide and porter we could possibly get. Everything worked out just fine. Our guide told us all about the mountains and what we need to bring. They checked our equipment to make sure everything works out great for us. Every evening we had a briefing for the next day, what helped us a lot to get ready :)The whole team was really friendly and caring about us. We always felt safe and whenever we needed something, they helped us. They always made sure we feel good and wealthy, especially in the high altitude. Also we had nice evenings together playing cards and having a good time!If I’ll ever go back to Nepal, I’d definitely would choose the same team again :)
Subash was my guide to climb Mera Peak. He was such a joy to journey with and I felt I was in safe and competent hands the whole time. He is a skilled mountaineer and climbs solo and with friends outside of his work as a guide. That felt really great to me to know he is passionate about the mountains. I also left fully inspired for future adventures- he was a great person to talk about different ideas with and now my list of adventures I want to have is so huge! When we were coming down from mera peak at the point where we could take off our crampons, there was an American man trekking alone and his crampon was broken.Without hesitation Subash handed this man his own crampons and asked for him to return it to his office whenever he is back in Kathmandu. I was really impressed that he did that.Subash has a joyful laugh. I felt very happy to be around him. I highly recommend him as a guide and will book again.
